Skills-USA gold medal winners named

On Saturday, February 3, Fallbrook High School teachers John Buehman, Larry Karcher and Kevin Karnes accompanied 12 students to Rancho Cucamonga, where they competed in various areas of Skills-USA. Eight students received gold medals and are now qualified to compete at the state competition in Riverside April 19-22.

The eight gold medal winners included:

• Nick Baird, oxy acetylene welding, first place in division

• Tom Pollinger, technical CAD

• Storm Donchess, precision machining I

• Gary Beck, intro. automotive service technology

• Anthony Williams

• Matt Culver

• Bobby Shuster
