Braille Institute offers free program

FALLBROOK — The numbers on a watch may be difficult to see. The small print in books or magazines may look blurry or out of focus. Those experiencing these signs of fading vision may be helped by Braille Institute. Beginning Tuesday, March 6, Braille Institute will offer a free program at Silvergate, located at 420 Elbrook Drive. The classes will be held on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m.

The program, sponsored by Braille Institute’s San Diego Center, is designed to teach people how to remain independent despite loss of vision. Participants will learn new ways of doing daily tasks such as managing the home, how to use visual aids to maximize remaining vision and how to receive free talking books through Braille Institute’s Library Services program.
