County attempting to compromise fire safety

This is to notify you that the San Diego County Planning Department is now attempting to compromise fire safety throughout San Diego County in order to accommodate developers.

They are officially proposing Shelter-in-Place (i.e., advising people to remain in their houses during a wildland fire) as a new policy guideline for Fire Protection Plans because evacuation is not possible in many proposed new developments.
