FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Art Association’s March general meeting will feature Norma Soule, who will demonstrate innovative ways to combine new materials and techniques. Her work is generally impressionistic to non-objective, using experimental mixed media, acrylics and collage materials.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m., March 10, at the Hilltop Center, 331 East Elder. Preceding the meeting, there will be an informal “Eat ’n Critique” session from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Participants in the critique are encouraged to bring one or two “almost completed paintings” plus a snack or box lunch to eat during the session. Refreshments will be served following the meeting. The meeting and critique session are open to the public at no charge. Membership applications are available at all meetings. Norma Soule is a an associate member of the American and National Watercolor Societies, signature member of Watercolor West and Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, elected member of the San Diego Museum of Art’s Artists Guild and past-president and elected life member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. She teaches for many different art groups and is currently on the staff of the Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla. Her work is frequently in exhibitions and is in corporate and private collections across the United States.
In addition to demonstrating at the meeting, Soule will hold a workshop from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. March 11 at the Art Campus at Fallbrook’s School of Art, 310 East Alvarado.
