Fallbrook golfers win SCGA trophies

“There must be something in the air at Fallbrook!” said Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) member services director Emily von Doehren when she announced the low net runners-up at the 2007 Club Delegate/President’s Day on April 2.

The winning foursome of Dick Burch and Ed Erzen and Kathleen Burch and Sue Thorne represented the Fallbrook Senior Men’s Golf Group and the Fallbrook Niners, respectively. As SCGA delegates and club presidents, they were invited to the luncheon and play day at Shadowridge Country Club along with over 100 members from clubs all over Southern California. They all agreed it was an honor and a surprise to be runners-up in the Four-Ball Stroke Competition.
