Oceanside wins May Senior Cribbage match

The May Senior Cribbage Challenge was a cake walk for Oceanside. With 32 players in the match, Oceanside won 59 games with 13 skunks, compared to Fallbrook’s 53 wins and 3 skunks. The Oceanside peggers won seven of the top eight places.

Leading the way was Bob Rebar with 6 wins and 3 skunks. In second place was Glenrose Sheffel, who won all seven games. For the Senior Challenge the American Cribbage Congress scoring system is used. A win counts 2 points and a skunk is 3 points. This gave Rebar 15 points to Sheffel’s 14 points. In third was Jean Cunningham, who also had 6 wins but only 2 skunks...
