Six Warrior baseballers earn all-league

Six members of Fallbrook High School’s baseball team earned all-league honors for 2007.

Shawn Sanford and Clark Murphy were named to the Avocado League’s first team while honorable mention accolades were given to Kevin Vandivort, Jeff Newman, Josh Peters, and Andrew Siva.

“It’s always good when you can have that many,” said Fallbrook assistant coach Gary Carter.

Sanford, a senior, pitched and also played the outfield. “He’s a quiet leader, doesn’t have much to say,” Carter said. “He was always the kid in the background because we always had some talent in front of him.”
