Community garden back on track

FALLBROOK — The Mission Resource Conservation District (MRCD) is resuming work on a community garden.

MRCD is leasing the property, located on Alturas Road, from the Fallbrook Public Utility District. The project began in 2006 but was delayed in the process of obtaining grading plans. Grading services and other equipment has already been donated to continue the momentum on the community garden.

Garden beds and an irrigation system are ready to be installed and a local herb grower has volunteered to donate herbs to the community gardeners. Garden plots will be allotted in spaces measuring 4’x8’...
