Local resident to attend med school

Joe Treister graduated cum laude from UCSD, Revelle College, in March with a double major in biology and interdisciplinary computing and the arts. For the past two years, he has been volunteering his time at the VA Hospital in San Diego doing research in cardiology and recently completed a tour with his band, Strike Twelve.

Treister will be continuing his education at UC Irvine School of Medicine beginning this month. A graduate of Chaparral High School, Joe is the son of Pam and Neil Treister of Fallbrook.
