The San Diego County Board of Supervisors has approved a parking prohibition on a portion of Golden Road.
The supervisors’ 5-0 vote August 1 approved the introduction and first reading of the ordinance which would ban parking on the east side of Golden Road from the south line of Fallbrook Street to Avenida Campana. The ordinance will return to the supervisors on September 19 for a second reading and adoption, and the parking prohibition would become effective October 19 if the ordinance is adopted.
The parking prohibition for the 150-foot segment of Golden Road had been recommended by the county’s Traffic Advisory Committee during the TAC’s June 8 meeting. The parking ban is the result of a condition placed upon a developer project.
