The Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and Legacy
Endowment Foundation have established a fund for
victims of the Fallbrook (Rice Canyon) Fire.
People wishing to contribute to the fund can make checks
payable to “Legacy Endowment” and specify their
donation is for the Fallbrook Fire Storm 2007. Send
checks to the Legacy Endowment Foundation, P. O. Box
2710, Fallbrook CA 92088 or deliver them to the
Chamber of Commerce office, 233 E. Mission Road,
Fallbrook.
Legacy Foundation is trying to focus on
Fallbrook, however, contribution of funds can also
benefit fire victims in other parts of North San Diego
County. If donors wish to contribute to other areas
where fire victims have need, they need only earmark
that area.
“We’ll make sure it gets there,” says foundation president, Phil Delaney.
To qualify for funds, individual applicants must show
proof of need. Funds collected will also be available
to other nonprofit organizations in Fallbrook such as
the Elizabeth Hospice, Fallbrook Healthcare
Foundation, North County Disabled Services and others.
The Legacy Endowment Foundation was formed to enhance
and preserve a higher quality of life for the community now, and for generations to come. Its
mission is to facilitate philanthropy for individuals,
families, businesses, nonprofits and organizations.
Legacy Endowment Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)3
organization. Their offices are located adjacent to
the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce. Staff will be
available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or longer until
further notice. Normal hours are M-F, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
