OCEANSIDE — Mission San Luis Rey will offer a behind-the-scenes tour from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, December 28.
The tour aims to provide young students a better understanding of what life was like during the mission era. It is open to people of all ages who want to learn more about missions’ important contributions to California history.
Included in the tour are the choir loft, soldier barracks, lavanderia and California’s oldest pepper tree. Fourth-graders will receive a special educational packet valued at $5.
