Since 1992, the Fallbrook United Methodist Church has been working on a project to bring clean water and a sewer system to the Methodist Hospital in Meru, Kenya.
Larry and Alice Saunders, members of the church, have been involved in this project from the beginning. This year they hosted a couple who work with them in Meru, Florence and Steve Mubichi.
Steve owns his own hauling business in Meru and Florence was a nurse in the hospital. She is currently teaching nursing at the University of Oklahoma and working on her PhD.
