Swing West in concert Feb. 16

Swing West, an acoustic trio doing vintage and western swing, will be playing Saturday, February 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Woman’s Club, 238 West Mission (corner of East Mission and South Mission).

David Dekker on lead guitar and vocals, Bruce Huntington on bass and Bob Sandstrom on violin comprise Swing West.

They say “violin” rather than “fiddle” because Sandstrom does the sweeping credenzas, amazing arpeggios and impossible fingerwork of classic styles all tastefully wrapped in and around the work of the trio as a whole for a unique and very nice effect.
