Fallbrook Players is proud to donate more than $2,000 to the furriest fire victims and the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary.
The money was earned by the cast and crew of “Grease,” who performed a special fire victims’ fundraiser in October.
“It was a frightening time for all of us, but I think children were feeling especially vulnerable, so it empowered them to be able to give back to others in this way,” said Connie Knox, president of the board of Fallbrook Players.
“We also wish to acknowledge Patty Hornsveld of the Mission Theater, who donated the use of the theater for that evening,” added Knox. “Without her help, this would not have been possible.
“We are excited to give the money to the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary.
“We understand the financial constraints they have been working with, especially after so many pets were left homeless after the fires, so we hope this helps the sanctuary to house and feed these cute furry friends.”
