Annual awards presented by Boys & Girls Club

A bevy of special awards were presented by the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County at their annual awards evening held February 20.

They included: Pat Scanlon, Coaching Excellence Award; Amanda Cunningham, Athlete of the Year; Vansh Singh, Academic Award; Ricarda Lopez, Fair Play award; Larilyn Irvine, Jennifer Swinkowski and Ricardo Ruiz, MVP award; Canyon Ridge Construction, Business of the Year award; Louise Small, Woman and Youth award; North County Times and Village News, The Positive Place Award.

Distinguished Service awards were presented to Jim Donart, Richard Levering and Andy Vanderlaan. Deborah Zoller received the Champion of Youth award and Arlyne Ingold was presented with the first-ever Presidential award.
