Art Institute of California – San Diego

Courtesy photo San Diego, CA – The Art Institute of California – San Diego is seeking to award up to $15,000 in tuition scholarships to talented prospective students interested in studying creative or culinary arts.

Entries for the local scholarship competition will be accepted from students

who wish to enroll in the following degree programs offered by The Art Institute of California – San Diego: Advertising, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Web Design & Interactive Media, Game Art & Design, Media Arts & Animation, Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, Fashion Design, and Fashion Marketing & Management.

Deadline for entries is May 3, 2008. Candidates will be required to submit applications materials, including an essay indicating goals and motivation for a scholarship as well as program-specific entry requirements such as samples of original work. Entries will be evaluated by The Art Institute’s faculty under the direction of the Academic Affairs department of the entrants’ field of study.

Fallbrook Garden Club

Fallbrook High School graduating seniors are invited to apply for scholarships of $1,000 or more. The Garden Club’s annual scholarship program offers awards to students who pursue appropriate courses of study in colleges or universities. Eligible applicants are those planning careers in agriculture, botany, conservation, entomology, environmental studies, floriculture, forestry, horticulture, landscape architecture, plant biology, plant genetics, urban planning, or similar related fields.

Awards will be based on character, scholarship, aptitude, ability to succeed and financial need. Applications are available through school counselors, or by contacting Ms. Audrey Kelm, (760-723-9342) Scholarship Chairman. Applications must be received no later than April 15, 2008.
