La Russo to perform in benefit concert

RANCHO SANTA FE — On Sunday, August 3, Fallbrook resident and soprano Sascha La Russo will lend her talents to a fundraiser for a Christian youth group. La Russo will join world-renowned pianist John Danke of Carlsbad.

Funds will help the San Diego Discovery Bound teens attend regional and national leadership conferences and summer camps.

La Russo is a four-season veteran with the San Diego Opera Chorus. She sang second lead last summer in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music” at the Ramona Bowl.
