Art Association receives Rotary donation

The Fallbrook Art Association (FAA) recently received a $1,200 donation from the Rotary Club of Fallbrook. The donation will be used to purchase quality art materials to support the Art Assist Program. The donation check was received by Carol Zaleski and Penny Fedorchak, both past directors of the program.

Art Assist was started in 1992 by Mary La Hue, a past president of the FAA, to provide assistance and support for art activities in the school systems. This effort has continued over the years and many FAA volunteers have contributed to its success.

This year the focus for the program will be on the Mary Fay School at Camp Pendleton. Artwork by the children has been featured in the past at Fallbrook Library and the Art Center, and most recently the Brandon Etcetera Gallery.
