Fallbrook 4-H will have a signup meeting for interested new and returning members on Tuesday, October 7, at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Youth from 5 to 18 are able to join projects that meet monthly.
This year our club will have the following projects: Archery, Beef, Community Pride, Cooking, Crafts, Demonstrations, Floriculture, Leadership Development, Goats, Horses, Poultry, Quilting, Sheep, Rabbits, Cavies, Swine, Veterinary Science, Veal and Remote Control Flying.
Volunteer leaders will be discussing their projects and kids can learn how to sign up to be a member of the club.
4-H is a great organization that allows older youth to mentor the younger members while learning new skills. It also is a terrific way to help the community and make a difference. If you are interested, bring a parent and show up at the next meeting. For more information, call (760) 723-6171.
The 2008-2009 officers are Holly Rogers, president; Dannika Long, first VP; Kevin McGuire, third VP; Kim Beier, treasurer; Montana Massone, secretary; Dillon Kayl, vendor; Malary Greenwood, newsletter; Sam Kibbett, flag bearer; Emily Kilcrease, hostess; McKenna Massone, hostess; and Cassie Strizak, historian.
These officers will be responsible for running the monthly community meetings and planning activities. This promises to be busy year. See you at Tuesday’s meeting!
