Garden Club meeting to feature 'Gourmet Gardening'

The general meeting of the Fallbrook Garden Club on Tuesday, October 28, at 12:30 p.m. will feature a program on “Gourmet Gardening” presented by Nan Sterman.

Sterman is a garden writer, designer and coach. She specializes in low-water plants for California’s Mediterranean climate, sustainable and edible gardening.

She will speak on a wide variety of common and uncommon vegetables, fruits, herbs and even edible flowers. She will bring an array of seedlings for sale after the meeting and will talk about how to grow them, how to use them in the garden’s overall design and how to cook with them.

The meeting will be held at the Fallbrook Community Center at 341 Heald Lane. All meetings are open to the public. New members are encouraged to join.
