Egges mark 65th anniversary

Rev. Magnus and Elaine Egge will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on October 3. The Egges, who now reside in Fallbrook, were married in their hometown of St. James, MN. At the time of their wedding, in 1943, Magnus was serving in the US Navy as a pilot.

As an ordained Lutheran pastor, Magnus has served parishes in Wisconsin, Minnesota and California and is currently employed part-time as Pastor Emeritus at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Fallbrook.

For many years, Elaine was a medical record librarian for hospitals in San Diego County, Los Angeles County and San Clemente.

The couple has five children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
