Violent crime down 34% in first half of 2008, compared to 2007

In a bulletin released October 21 by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), it was reported that the number of violent crimes reported in Fallbrook were down 34 percent compared to the same time period in 2007 and 24 percent compared to 2004.

From January 1 to June 30, 2008, 47 violent crimes were reported in the Fallbrook jurisdiction, compared to 71 in 2007 and 62 in 2004.

Violent crimes include homicide, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.
