Smog Bros. maintains its policy: your vehicle passes smog test or you pay only $5

Celebrating their second year in business, Moe El Farra and Josue Gonzalez are pleased to offer exceptional service at Smog Bros.

A smog test-only facility, Smog Bros. has quickly become a place people depend on for quality service.

“Meeting so many new people at our business has been great,” Gonzales said.

Word has spread quickly about their reliability in the industry. Smog Bros.’ integrity has extended beyond residents of the greater Fallbrook area and brought customers from Temecula, Escondido and Oceanside to have their vehicles tested.

El Farra and Gonzalez say that at Smog Bros., customers get treated fairly.

“If you don’t pass the smog test, all you pay is $5 and nothing more,” El Farra said. “I’ve heard that other places end up charging more for a vehicle that doesn’t pass.”

In this challenging economy, Smog Bros. tries to keep charges very reasonable, especially for those who fail a smog test.

“We know that people are going to have to spend money to repair their car and that’s why we only want to charge $5 for the ‘no pass’ fee,” El Farra said.

This smog test facility is ideal for regular registration renewals, change of vehicle ownership, any type of smog inspection, out-of-state smog tests and motor vehicle emissions check.

Offering generous military discounts, nearby Camp Pendleton residents have relied on Smog Bros. for their vehicles’ out-of-state smog tests.

“We really do any test that is required,” said Gonzales, citing that they can accommodate most makes and models, motor homes and even large trucks.

Generally, a Smog Bros. test takes 15 to 20 minutes. For those on a tight schedule, El Farra and Gonzales recommend making an appointment beforehand.

Committed to giving people the best in customer service, El Farra and Gonzales said they are always on hand to answer questions.

Last year, El Farra worked hard and earned his license for smog certification. Gonzales already has years of vehicle expertise under his belt. Following his education at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), Gonzales was brought onboard with the Mercedes Elite Program.

Recently, Gonzales completed an in-depth 16-hour “update class” in San Marcos to renew his smog certification license.

“It was good class and they covered a lot about newer cars and its systems,” Gonzales said.

The course offered a look into newer technology which Gonzales said he absorbed and enjoyed.

When customers walk into Smog Bros., it’s not difficult to see that Gonzales and El Farra are best friends. The friendly atmosphere makes visitors feel comfortable.

“One of my favorite parts of this job is being able to work with my best friend,” El Farra said.

For El Farra and Gonzales, being longtime Fallbrook residents also means they truly want to take care of their community.

“We know most of the people who come here,” they said, “and we make new friends here every day.”

The company offers senior and military discounts. Customers can walk in or make appointments ahead of time. Bilingual assistance is available.
