In a transaction involving three County of San Diego departments as well as the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, portions of three streets surrounding the new Fallbrook library now have additional public right-of-way for the associated road improvements.
The Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 October 21 to make a finding that portions of West Alvarado Street, South Mission Road, and West Fig Street are necessary to complete the new library project, to accept the dedication of a portion of County Library property for county highway purposes, to make a finding that the existing driveway from West Alvarado will no longer be required once a new driveway entrance is constructed, and to relinquish access rights to a portion of West Alvarado.
