FALLBROOK – Fallbrook’s VFW Ladies Auxiliary recently presented an additional award to Zion Lutheran School student Rachael Graef. Rachel won first place in their local Patriot’s Pen competition, which consisted of 76 total Fallbrook entries, earning a $500 cash award.
Graef’s essay qualified her to compete in District I, where she placed second in the entire district of San Diego. Graef was presented with a plaque, certificate and pin for her remarkable achievement during a recent school ceremony which her fellow students and parents attended.
