Garden Club scholarship

FALLBROOK - The Fallbrook Garden Club scholarship committee is again seeking applicants for scholarships of $1,000 or more.

Any Fallbrook High school graduating senior or college student from the local area who is interested can contact scholarship committee chair Audrey Kelm, (760) 723-9342 for an application.

Applicants must be planning a career in agriculture, botany, conservation, entomology, environmental studies, floriculture, forestry, horticulture, landscape architecture, plant biology, plant genetics, or a related field. They may select the college or university of their choice provided there is a recognized department in one of these fields.

The scholarship money will be sent directly to the selected institution. Applications must be received no later than Monday, April 12, 2010.
