Donald W. Long

Donald W. Long, 84, of Fallbrook, Calif., died Saturday January 16, 2010 of complications due to respiratory illness. He was born in Rochelle, Ill., the fourth of five children. He married Harriette Marker in 1947 and was the father of three children.

He served 24 years in the US Marine Corps including service during WWII, where he was a part of the landing force at Iwo Jima and in Vietnam with the 3rd Marine Division in Da Nang.
