George W. Newman

George W. Newman, 75, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 20, 2010 in Redding, Calif., where he resided with his wife, Suzanne Newman.

George is survived by his wife Suzanne; sister Cathy Chocolas of Redding; children, Scott Newman, Terrilee Williams, Christina Hassel, Catherine Allen, and Michael Draper, along with 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

George retired from the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant Dec. 4, 1977, where he served as a technical instructor and training supervisor. He also retired from Martin Marietta as a defense contractor in 1992.
