Author's family donates books to students on Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON - Mary Fay Pendleton School was thrilled to welcome Julie LaBelle, author of “My Dad’s Deployment.” LaBelle, daughter of Jack and Joyce Wood, of Fallbrook, wrote this special deployment activity book from her own experiences as a Marine wife and mother.

Because of generous donations from the Wood family, 150 books were donated to the school and dispersed to students of deploying dads. Everyone at the school is anxiously awaiting LaBelle’s next book, about children with moms who are deploying.
