Students study ancient Egypt

FALLBROOK – Students in Mrs. Fieri’s fifth and sixth grade class in the Iowa Street CORE program concluded their study of Ancient Egyptian history and culture by presenting skits about ancient Egypt and setting up a classroom museum displaying fact- filled mini murals and projects.

Students also had the opportunity to share historic narratives they wrote during the last six weeks. In their combined home and school studies, students did extensive research to create their projects and stories.

“Many parents reported that their children were really motivated by the projects and that they’ve seen their child’s writing and attitudes toward writing improve while doing these assignments,” said Mrs. Fieri. “The students have worked hard and their parents’ support has been invaluable. I’m proud of them all.”

Iowa Street School Core Program is a hybrid home school two days a week and three days a week at school. Grade levels for next year are Kindergarten – seventh grade. For more information, call (760) 731-4420.
