FALLBROOK – The students at Iowa Street School / Home Education Program experienced a living history workshop of the 1920s. The workshop included: a competition in blowing the biggest bubble (Dubble Bubble gum was invented in the ‘20s), experiencing how a woman’s vote can greatly change an outcome, learning the Charleston, making Kool Aid (also invented in the ‘20s) and trying to fly across the Atlantic like Charles Lindbergh without modern instruments. The students also ate goldfish, which was a popular activity (but with real ones!) in the 1920s.
