Pendleton volunteer honored

Angela Huerliman, center, stands with Col. Nicholas F. Marano, commanding officer, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, and her husband, Ernie Huerliman, after receiving an award for her volunteerism on March 15. Huerliman has been an American Red Cross volunteer at the Naval Hospital on base for more than 30 years and donated more then 200 hours in 2009. Her time at the hospital is spent in the nursery, the front desk and distributing comfort items to patients.
