Grange wishes to keep hall secure

For many years the Grange has rented the Grange hall to two local Alcoholics Anonymous groups at a considerable discount as a meeting place. The Rainbow Valley Grange has and will continue to support the mission of Alcoholics Anonymous.

In the last year, this business relationship has become untenable for the Grange. Repeatedly, after AA meetings, the Grange hall has been left unsecured with windows and doors left open. Both AA groups were advised of the situation. The problems continued and the rental agreement terminated as a consequence.

The Rainbow Valley Grange has been a supportive member of the community for decades and the hall is available to individuals as well as community groups for rental for meetings and special occasions. The Grange wishes to keep the hall secure and clean for all to use responsibly for many years to come.

The Grange is grateful for all of the support the community has given to us. This was a difficult decision for the Grange members to discontinue the discounted rental to the AA groups. When someone rents your home, it is not unreasonable to ask them to lock the door when they leave.
