The United States welcomes more than a million legal immigrants every year, more than the rest of the world combined. But illegal immigration is different – and should be treated differently. The problem should be solved by the federal government but it is not.
The Constitution, Article IV, Section 4 reads: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion.” Ten to 20 million persons have illegally entered the United States – this is an invasion.
In the 1980’s under President Reagan there was an amnesty for illegal aliens and the politicians told us this would not happen again and that they would secure our borders and crack down on companies who hire illegal aliens.
Now President Obama wants to stop the work on finishing protecting our southern border and we are not cracking down on employers enough. Illegal aliens are involved in a sizable percentage of rapes, murders, burglaries and homicides along with being responsible for a lot of the illegal narcotics traffic in the United States.
Illegal aliens affect our unemployment. Oppose Gutierrez-Ortiz CIR ASAP (H.R. 4321) and block Harry Reid’s S.9 from enactment.
