Guacamole contest will continue at this year's Avocado Fest

FALLBROOK – Local residents and visitors are encouraged to enter this year’s guacamole contest at the 2010 Avocado Festival, sponsored by the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, on Sunday, April 18.

Two categories have been designed for entries: amateur and professional. Prizes will be awarded for both first and second place in each category for Best Tasting and Best Presentation.

The contest will take place in the CAST parking lot in the 200 block of N. Main. Entries must be delivered to the judging table between noon and 12:45 pm on Sunday, April 18. Judging will begin at 1 p.m. sharp. Winners will be announced and awards will be given at 3 p.m. on the Community Stage.

Sue Shimer will be gathering together a group of local judges, and says she will welcome as many entries as possible.
