Marilyn (Mendel) Schaffer

Marilyn (Mendel) Schaffer, 64, passed away at home in Highland Park, Ill. on April 7, 2010. She was the oldest child born to Phil and June Mendel in Whittier, Calif. on January 18, 1946. Her family moved to Fallbrook in 1954 and she made this her home until the mid-1960s when she went away to college.

Marilyn graduated from Fallbrook Union High School in 1962 and in that same year was selected to represent her community as Miss Fallbrook. Through the years she maintained a close relationship with many of her classmates and friends here. She always had a special place in her heart for Fallbrook...
