FALLBROOK –A fresh-out-of-the-box 1974 Wurlitzer Americana Jukebox valued at over $4000 will be won in a drawing at the Fallbrook Trading Company. Drawing tickets are $5 and all proceeds from the drawing go to the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary. The drawing will be held on June 20, Father’s Day, and the winner does not need to be present at the drawing.
Hanson Palms, a Fallbrook business, donated this never-used, new-old-stock jukebox. “It’s a collector’s dream,” says Carol Hanson. “If you search it on the internet, you may find a used jukebox similar to this one for $2,000, but I doubt you’ll ever find one that’s never been used at any price. All original papers and keys are included, and this one is a beautiful purple color! You have to stop by and see it to appreciate it.”
It can be seen at the Fallbrook Trading Company at 840 S. Main Ave. Drawing tickets are available there as well as from Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary volunteers at adoption events. Village Copy Center donated the printed tickets.
“We decided a drawing would be the best way to donate proceeds from the jukebox,” Carol explained, “because it gives people a chance to win something very valuable and nostalgic for just the few dollars they donated for a ticket. Of course, the more tickets you have, the more chances you have to win. And at the same time you know what you donated goes to a worthy cause - helping to save the lives of abandoned dogs and cats in Fallbrook.”
