Writers Read events scheduled for May 13, June 10

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook’s Writers Read, a free monthly gathering of writers and readers, will feature one of North County’s funniest writers of comic fiction, author Dan McClenaghan, of Oceanside, on Thursday, May 13 at 6 p.m., at the Café des Artistes. McClenaghan will read a selection of short fiction, which will be followed by open mic for members of the public to share their original poetry and prose.

McClenaghan is an award-winning fiction author, who has the gift for making his readers laugh and wince.

On Thursday, June 10, the featured author will be Lew Decker of San Diego. Decker is a veteran, blue water sailor, world traveler, and retired educator. Decker’s writing is evocative and generous, and shares his visions of far-flung lands and seas and the wisdom he has gleaned from it.
