Rubber Raft Races return to 4th of July celebration

FALLBROOK – The Rubber Raft Regatta is expected to be one of the highlights again this year at the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance’s July 4th Celebration, held at the Grand Tradition. Teams of four will compete for the title of the fastest rubber raft to row across the Grand Tradition’s heart-shaped lake.

Along with the honor, the winning team, based on elimination heats, will earn up to $2,000 in prize money. Last year, a Fallbrook High School athletic team was narrowly defeated by the team from Major Market after competing against other locally-sponsored groups such as the all women...
