Day of the Teacher

Today there is very little good news concerning schools in the USA. A lack of finances is truly impacting the national system. It is easy to blame teachers for a negative atmosphere. California Retired Teachers Association takes this time to honor those educators who have given so much. Teachers often reach in their own pockets for materials and programs that budgets don’t cover.

Those who teach inspire students to make choices that help them stand upright and to stand alone if necessary. Teachers help children in the classroom to discover joy in learning something new and begin to find all the things they can do.

Remember to thank a teacher.
