Whose idea was it to allow the sale of animal parts at the Avocado Festival?

As a retired school librarian and organizer of twenty-three years of programs, projects, and activities for National Be Kind To Animals Week, stressing the importance of cherishing all wildlife, as well as pet responsibility to our students, it was with a heavy heart that I viewed the merchandise in the Animal Booth at the recent Avocado Festival.

Real bobcat heads, tails from gray foxes, and bear paws, to name a few.

This is not in representation of the Fallbrook I have known and loved for nearly fifty years.

On April 30, the apathy of the lady at the front desk at the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce office was even more disturbing.

Who gave the okay for this?

What kind of message is it?

What reputation does it give Fallbrook?
