FALLBROOK – On Saturday, May 22, The Pampered Chef held a fundraiser at the Wild Hair Salon in Fallbrook to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and early detection programs, supported by the American Cancer Society.
“The owners, stylists, and manicurists of Wild Hair were so supportive and generous,” said Rose Brown-Salek, organizer and kitchen consultant with The Pampered Chef. “The event was a huge success and is being planned again for next year!”
Those who attended the event got to sample some “pink” themed recipes including Tuxedo Brownies, Pink Ribbon Cookies, and Sparkling Pink Lemonade, and a Fallbrook favorite: Quick-N-Easy Guacamole.
A number of local businesses sponsored the event. “Community involvement, it’s one of the reasons I love Fallbrook,” said Brown-Salek.
A special line of Help Whip Cancer products are available through the end of May that will be part of the fundraising effort. Visit Wild Hair Salon or call (619) 794-8003.
