The USMC’s treatment of Sgt. Larry Hutchins isn’t endearing them to the American people. Sergeant Hutchins was, and still is, a good Marine. His original conviction was overturned and he was reinstated from Private to the rank of Sergeant. The USMC has been keeping him in solitary at Camp Pendleton and, when people go to visit him, he is in handcuffs and behind glass. This conduct on the part of the Marine Corps is criminal and is absolutely forbidden in civilian prisons.
