Drake wins regional gymnastic championship

FALLBROOK – On May 23, Fallbrook Gymnastic Club gymnast Katie Drake competed at the USAIGC Regional Championship in the Silver optional division in Culver City, Calif. In Katie’s first year in optional gymnastics she won the All Around title at the regional level.

She finished first on Vault with 9.05, first on Bars with 9.0, second on Floor with 9.0, first on Beam with 8.85 and first in All Around with a 35.90. Next, Katie will compete at the National Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from June 25 to 30.
