Sullivan Career Day features 22 professionals

BONSALL – At Sullivan Middle School’s Career Day on May 21, nearly two dozen local professionals educated sixth, seventh and eighth grade students on various career paths. The event was hosted by Principal Janet Whiddon, Career Day Coordinator Mary Thurlow, and PTA President Kristi Kehl. The PTA provided a hospitality breakfast for the volunteers.

“I am grateful to all the professionals for spending time with Sullivan students. Each volunteer was well prepared, many with PowerPoint presentations. It is nice to have community interaction and support in our local schools,” said Thurlow.

The 2010 Career Day All Stars were Air Force Airman First Class Nicholas Tuck, Airman Allison Wine, Navy Petty Officer Second Class David Rodgers, artist Jack Ragland, John Mattos of Fuller Construction, commercial pilot Eric Heald, computer programmer Steve Flanders, dental hygienist Lori Collins, dental assistant Debi Denton, film producer Nick Thurlow, insurance agent Tom Logue, interior designer Ali Domingez, landscape architect Richard Schillig, massage therapist Craig Lozzi, marriage and family counselor Katherine Hunter, musician David Blackburn, physicist/ professor Dr. Stephen Tsui, real estate agent Sharon Robinson, research scientist David Shackelford, restaurant owner Jacquie Pierson, stylist/ salon owner Bradley Wood, teacher Laura Bridgeman, and veterinarian Court Cramer.
