Fireworks can be dangerous

SAN DIEGO COUNTY – Independence Day celebrations can be ruined if fireworks injure a family member or friend. CAL Fire reminds everyone that all fireworks are illegal throughout San Diego County. Their use, transportation or possession could result in a fine or jail.

CAL FIRE also advises that anyone causing a fire with fireworks will be responsible for the damages. Fireworks last only a few seconds, but the burns and other injuries they cause can last a lifetime.

So don’t celebrate the Fourth of July in the hospital. Be fire safe, not sorry!...
