ESCONDIDO – Families, youth groups and life-learners are invited to relax and have fun at the Fourth Annual Summer’s Past in the San Pasqual Valley Family Day on Saturday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the San Diego Archaeological Center. Interactive stations will be set up around the center’s classroom where participants will have the opportunity to create tussy mussys and rag dolls, scrub clothes on a wooden washboard, punch leather and play games of marbles and jacks. Refreshments reminiscent of past summer days will be available.
If the temperature is reasonable, a hike to nearby natural and cultural resources will be offered. Participants should bring plenty of drinking water, wear appropriate foot and head gear, and be prepared to have fun. The Center Museum will also be open for further educational and engaging experiences.
Center members will enjoy this event at no charge. A $5 per person or $15 per family donation is requested from non-members. The center is located at 16666 San Pasqual Valley Road, east of Escondido.
