Garden Club awards three scholarships

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Garden Club (FGC) has presented three Fallbrook High School (FHS) graduates with scholarship dollars for the coming scholastic year.

Margaret Maratsos will be starting her third year at the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo continuing her education to become a high school agricultural science teacher specializing in horticulture. For her last quarter she earned a GPA of 4.0. This will be her third grant from the FGC.

Melissa Maultsby graduated this year from FHS and is planning to attend the University of the Pacific to study to be either an agriculture or a physical education teacher. Melissa was awarded the FGC Dorothy Frances Scholarship.

Camila Lee also graduated from FHS last month and will be attending the University of California Santa Cruz to earn a BA in Environmental Science and then a Masters Degree in Forestry.
