FALLBROOK – Calvary Chapel Fallbrook (CCF) is taking a group of 16 youth and adults to Cambodia for two weeks in August. CCF built A Greater Hope Orphanage (AGHO) in 2005 in the Takeo Province with the goal of providing shelter, food, clothing and education to the children in the region.
AGHO currently cares for 35 children ages 7 to 16. Kit and Ream Carson, former residents of Fallbrook, serve as Directors of AGHO and oversee a staff of seven. “We are thankful for the opportunity to care for our children at AGHO and to provide a new beginning for them,” said Patrick Herrell, pastor of CCF.
CCF is currently raising funds to assist the children when they make the transition from AGHO to trade school or college after graduating from high school. The team of 16 will participate in the daily workings of AGHO, along with providing medical assistance to those in the surrounding villages.
